About Zach —
Zach is a career prosecutor, proud Texan, and a law-and-order Republican. Zach is a graduate of Baylor University, and he received his law degree from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio.
Since 2016, Zach has worked as a prosecutor for the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. He has made Houston his home over the past seven years, and he loves his community.
Zach has tried cases in two Texas counties as a prosecutor. He has also represented the State of Texas in the First, Fourth, Ninth, and Fourteenth Courts of Appeals. Zach has had two cases before the Court of Criminal Appeals—the State’s highest criminal court that is only one step below the U.S. Supreme Court.
Zach’s current job doing appellate work involves him doing large amounts of legal research and writing every day. He also advises other prosecutors on how best to proceed in legally challenging cases. This means that he understands well how to produce high-quality legal opinions that will address every issue correctly. Thus, Zach will be prepared to apply the law correctly and impartially on day one.
When Zach handles cases in the appellate courts, he submits written, public briefs. Feel free to see the quality of Zach’s scholarship. He has researched and written about many areas of criminal law including:
Each one of these submissions requires substantial research into and understanding of Texas law.
If elected to be justice, he will bring his legal knowledge to the bench. He humbly asks for your vote!
